Built by a grant from Andrew Carnegie in 1904 as a library, Dublin Carnegie Library is listed on National Registry of Historic Places. The Laurens County Historical Society renovated the building in 1977 and converted the old library into a museum. In 2013, Dublin's Carnegie Library underwent another massive restoration, and now features a revolving art gallery, meeting space and downtown visitors center. A focal point of downtown Dublin's Bicentennial Plaza, Dublin Carnegie Library will host the state's traveling art exhibit in July and August 2014.
