Built in 1797 by a prominent tobacco merchant, this house is an outstanding example of 18th century domestic architecture. Originally part of the town of Harrisburg, a trading town that competed with Augusta for the tobacco trade. Tours are available by appointment. Parking is in the rear. The house is managed by the Augusta Museum of History.
