Freeman's Mill

Our Grits and Flour mill are inspected and licensed by The Georgia Department of Agriculture. We grind white and yellow corn into grits, cornmeal, and self-rising cornmeal. We stone grind all grains on either our R. D. Cole flat rock mill made in Newnan, Ga., or our Davis vertical mill built in Rome, Ga. Our Flour is ground on our Davis mill. We can also grind flour on our Midget Marvel Flour mill which is believed to be one of the only operating mills of its kind. We print our own bags on an 1880's model Chandler-Price Letter press. The mill is powered by line shafts that run through the mill and are powered by our 90+ year old electric motor, our Continental Cotton Gin Engine, or our Atlas Steam Engine.
