Centered on an early 20th century farmstead, Georgia Southern's Garden of the Coastal Plain offers visitors a unique view of the cultural and natural heritage of the Southeastern coastal plain, an area rich in unique and endangered plants. The garden's nearly 11-acre site, located in the middle of the growing city of Statesboro, includes Walking Woodland Trails, Bland Cottage Visitor Center and Gift Shop, Heritage Garden with Rose Arbor, Children's Vegetable Garden, Camellia Garden, Native Plant Landscape Garden, Native Azalea Collection, and Bog Garden. The garden is located at 1505 Bland Avenue off of Fair Road (Hwy. 67).

    Learn intriguing and useful information while enjoying a fine lunch at the Garden's Lunch and Learn series. Past topics have included Container Gardening, Home Canning, Salt, Compost and Soil, Nature Photography, among others.

    All programs are held from 12 noon – 1:00 p.m. at the Heritage Pavilion. The $20 cost includes lunch.
