The GSU Museum showcases South Georgia's cultural and natural history, and also offers an exciting changing exhibit schedule. The gallery showcases a 26-foot Mosasaur, the "T-Rex of the Sea," as well as Georgiacetus Vogtlensis, a 42-million-year-old whale specimen.
Museum hours are Tuesday-Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and weekends 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. Admission rates are $2 per person, with children 3 & under free. Self-guided tours take 1-2 hours. Gift shop on premises.
