Follow Georgia's Antebellum Trail through seven communities and go back in time visiting historic homes, experiencing authentic battle sites, viewing impressive architecture and touring magnificent museums. Each community, from Macon to Athens, holds hidden treasures from the past.

Journey through Old Clinton and Watkinsville, where a love of the past and Southern hospitality are waiting. Experience intriguing history in Eatonton, Madison and Milledgeville. Sip a mint julep or discover a hidden memory in these communities that serve as an exquisite reminder of a bygone era – an era now "Gone with the Wind." The heritage trail starts in Athens, follows 441 south to Eatonton and then 129 to Milledgeville/Macon.

Join the annual Antebellum Trail Pilgrimage each spring for exclusive entrances to private homes, discounted tickets at museums and special events. Visit www.atpilgrimage.com for more information about the event.
