The Welcome Center also features a sampling of the city's past through small displays and exhibits. Highlights include depot train memorabilia and memoirs of Cedartown's Sterling Holloway, the voice of Winnie the Pooh.

The current building is a replica of Cedartown's long-demolished Seaboard Air Line Railway depot. The new structure was constructed in 2004 and stands at the same location on S. Main Street as did the original structure.
