Open Saturday and Sunday 1-4 p.m., these museums provide a glimpse into the old South. The Confederate Memorial Museum contains artifacts found in Kingston following the Civil War. The Kingston History Museum portrays life in Kingston following the war. Both museums are maintained by the ladies of the Kington Woman's History Club, which began the first "Decoration Day," or the genesis of Confederate Memorial Day. The annual observance is held each April.
