Lake Allatoona is located about 35 minutes north of Atlanta, Georgia off of I-75. The lake offers an abundance of beauty winding through rolling foot hills of North Georgia. Because it is a Corp of Engineers lake you will find that a majority of the shoreline is undisturbed and is home to many types of wildlife. Allatoona is a man made lake that was developed for flood control, hydropower generation, fish and wildlife management, recreation and water supply.
