Lincoln County has the distinction of being the first county-wide listing in Georgia in the National Register of Historic Places with more than 160 historic buildings. Lincoln County is nestled on the shores of Clark's Hill Reservoir, the largest Corps of Engineers project east of the Mississippi, with more than 1,200 miles of shoreline.
