Lockerly Arboretum is a 50 acre Arboretum surrounding a mansion, Rose Hill, built in 1852. The gardens include a native plant collection, perennial beds, and a pinetum. They serve as an outdoor classroom for Lockerly's Education Program. A picnic area near the spring-fed pond in the back lawn provides an inviting place for lunch. In addition to walking trails, there is a gravel drive which allows visitors to drive through the Arboretum. The public is welcome to tour the gardens at no cost.

Rose Hill is open to the public for self-guided tours. The mansion, one of a few masonry constructed homes in the area, was built in Greek Revival style. It features floor to ceiling windows on the main floor and a third floor balcony overlooking a koi pond in the front lawn. The fee for tours is $3.00 per adult, and $1.00 for children and students.

Rose Hill and the Arboretum are available for weddings, special occasion parties, and meetings.
