The Ludwig Symphony Orchestra presents the final gala concert of its ninth season entitled "A Cherry Blossom Tribute for Mother's Day" on Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 8 p.m. at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center. The evening performance features dynamic Chinese cellist, Guang Wang, in his LSO debut with the LaloCello Concerto in D minor, American tenor, Ryan Smith in selected arias, Spring Yang, phenomenal erhu virtuoso with accompanying yanching. The eighty piece orchestra will perform masterpieces by Tschaikovsky, Rossini, and Dvorak.
Maestro Thomas Ludwig, former music director of the New York City Symphony and resident conductor for American Ballet Theatre with Mikhail Baryshnikov will lead the orchestra. The program includes Rossini-Overture to "The Barber of Seville," Tschaikovsky-Symphony No. 4 and the Dvorak-Slavonic Dance No.7.
