Located minutes from Savannah, Backwater Expeditions offers guided and non-guided trips, and overnight and outright expeditions. Our trips are designed to fit your interest and group size. We are a full services outfitter with knowledgeable staff to help make your experience a true expedition.  

Backwater Expeditions can provide portage or provide transportation to or from anywhere in the low country. We also provide expeditions to central Georgia and South Carolina that can include hiking, bicycling, nature walks, camping, outdoor cooking, canoeing and kayaking.

For guided day trips, call at least the day before, but it is best to book 30 days in advance for groups of six or more. Group size is limited by available guides.
