Melon Bluff Nature & Heritage Reserve is a gorgeous 2,200-acre private park with 25 miles of grassy hiking and biking trails through maritime forest, wetlands and abandoned rice fields. It is a peaceful escape just east of I-95 30 minutes south of Savannah.
It is a charter member of the Colonial Coast Birding Trail. The Interactive Live Oaking Trail has a 30-foot-tall viewing platform. The Interpretive Devendorf Birding Trail was developed and sponsored by the American Forest Foundation.
