One of the more notable attractions in Forsyth, this museum is dedicated to depicting the history of Monroe County through displays and special exhibits.  Its collections include a print stand once used by the writer of the Uncle Remus stories, Joel Chandler Harris, and a cotton gin quite similar to that of Eli Whitney.  The museum also has extensive archival and topical files, including genealogical materials organized by families associated with Monroe County.
