The Museum of Aviation, next to Robins AFB, houses some of the 85 historic U.S. Air Force aircraft, missiles, cockpits and award-winning exhibits. Some notable aircraft are an SR-71 spy plane, the B-52, B-25 and B-1B bombers, cargo planes C-46, C-47, C-54, and C-130, fighter planes P-40, F-15, F-4D, and F-16. Several open-to-the-public cockpits are the F-105, H-1, F-15 and a C-130. Some exhibits include the 14th Air Force Flying Tigers, the 483rd Bomb Group, the story of WWII Ace Brig. Gen Robert L. Scott, the Korean War, the Tuskegee Airmen, and the 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment and Air Invasion of Normandy. The Museum of Aviation is the home of Georgia Aviation Hall of Fame.
Guided tours are available for groups of 15 or more. The museum has a gift shop, the Victory Café which overlooks aircraft, and picnic tables under the pavilions.
Open daily from 9 am to 5 pm. Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve 9 am to 1 pm. Closed Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

Nevermore Hills Haunted Trail at the Museum of Aviation

Dr. Rod Usher was a military scientist who secretly began cloning animal and plant DNA/traits to humans to produce a super human military. Due to his unconventional and highly questionable practices, his project was closed and classified as the "Nevermore Project." He was dishonorably discharged and exiled along with his wife.
