Named for Neptune Small, a faithful servant of the King family of Retreat Plantation. A bronze plaque there recounts his herorism in retrieving the body of a King son from the battlefield during the Civil War. Grills, picnic tables facilities under the shade of majestic old Live Oaks. Bathrooms nearby. Playground, miniature golf, restaurants, shops, St. Simons Island Lighthouse and Museum within easy walking distance.

    The concerts are held on select Sundays at high tide, for maximum breezes and bug-free comfort by the ocean. Guests are encouraged to bring a picnic supper and a lawn chair or blanket. A season pass for Sounds by the Sea will be available through May 24 and costs only $35. Season passes are also available for ages 6-12 for only $15.
