Catch sight of more than 130 bird species, explore tree-lined paths and enjoy the songs of nature at the Newman Wetlands Center. Created to demonstrate the importance of preserving wetlands environments, the wetlands' 32-acre wildlife habitat and wetlands trail is also an interpretive nature center.
Open year-round. Trails and picnic area open daily 7 a.m to 7 p.m. (March through October) and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. (November through February). Exhibit building open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (September through May); Tuesday through Saturday (June through August). Building closed Thanksgiving and the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's, but trails remain open with restroom available.
