Many species of birds make their home here and the wetlands attract wood storks, herons, ibises, egrets, ducks, and cranes.

Oak Cottage, located in southern Georgia, is situated on Sea Pond Plantation, 420 acres of natural woodlands, planted pine, cypress swamp, marshlands, and open pastures. Other structures on the property include the 150 year-old plantation house, and a mule barn which currently shelters chickens and geese.

Oak cottage has a living room, 2 bedrooms, an eat-in kitchen, a utility room, a full bath, front and back screened in porches, and a deck. It is fully furnished, with a queen sized bed in the master bedroom and a daybed and trundle in the guest room. Additional sleeping arrangements are provided by a sleeper sofa in the living room. It sleeps 6 comfortably.

Oak Cottage has central heat and air, ceiling fans and gas logs in the living-room fireplace. The utility room has a washer and a dryer. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher.  Wireless internet, computer speakers, blueray player, and HD TV are provided.
