Ocmulgee Public Fishing Area

Due to its unique location and close proximity to the Ocmulgee River, this area offers many opportunities for the outdoor enthusiast. It is a great place for a family outing and has picnic tables, handicap accessible fishing piers and restrooms, and concrete boat ramps. The Public Fishing Area has free parking. There is an education building available by reservation - it can accommodate up to 60 people. It is used for school groups, church groups or scouts. Licenses Required: Georgia Fishing and WMA (Wildlife Management Area) Licenses (need both) or a One Day Pass or Senior License or Handicap License or a Sportsman’s License. The Ocmulgee Public Fishing Area is located at 408 Ocmulgee PFA Road, Cochran. Hours: Open from sunrise - sunset; seven days per week
