CSU staff provides guided tours for groups, clubs, scouts, home schoolers and schools.
While we are in the process of developing our new strategic plan, our "guided" group tour programs are limited to birdwatching - the second fastest outdoor recreation activity in the United States.
If you are interested in a program on a subject other than birds, please let us know and we will try to accommodate you.
We can provide guided tours for groups (ages 8 and older) for $5/per person with a minimum fee of $50/group with payment in advance - cash or check (we do not take credit cards yet). We do not have staff trained to provide programs for children under the age of 8.
During the summer, due to the heat and humidity, we offer birdwatching tours only in the morning before 11am. This program consists of an orientation to birdwatching tools (we provide binoculars, bird checklists and identification books) and a walk to the lake, marsh and swamp.
