My Story~
Hello, My name is Mary Griffin. I have an art Studio at my home in the Gillsville area of Hall County. I am a 65-year-old wife, mother and grandmother who loves the arts. When I retired my husband built me a studio to do my painting and woodcarving in. The name of my shop is Mary’s Place. Since then I became interested in pottery and took courses in Clarkesville at the Dirt Bag Pottery and John C. Campbell Folk School in North Carolina. I turn, hand build, and fire all my pottery in my shop. I also make all my glazes. Everything is handmade and can be put in the microwave, oven, and dishwasher. All of my glazes are lead free. Come visit me anytime!
