Perry-Houston County Airport is a public airport located four miles (6 km) northwest of the central business district of Perry, a city in Houston County, Georgia, United States. It is owned and managed by the Perry-Houston County Airport Authority. The airport is also 5 miles north of the Perry Fairgrounds, the home of the Georgia National Fair.
Like many present day airports, PXE was built during WWII for pilot training purposes. The primary students were pilots of the Royal Air Force (RAF). When the military had no further use for the airport, after WWII, the airport was run by the City of Perry and Fort Valley.
The Perry-Houston Country Airport has many services available for pilots and non-pilots. Aircraft rental, instruction and maintenance are done on the field. Meeting rooms and rental cars are also available.
