The Ringgold Depot was significant in transporting Confederate soldiers during the Civil War and is one of the few remaining Antebellum depots in the state. This station was the last passed by the General in the Great Locomotive Chase of 1862.
The site is also included on the free walking tour of historic Ringgold that departs each Thursday at 10 a.m. from the depot.
