River Forks Park

The "Crown Jewel" of the park system, River Forks Park is located off Brown's Bridge road west, on Old Keith Bridge road four miles from downtown Gainesville. Lake Sidney Lanier surrounds the 118 acre park and the primary features include a large sand and grass swimming beach with large restrooms and hot showersThe park has 60 picnic sites with tables and grills in the day-use area. In the center of the park is a multipurpose activity hall with fireplace, restrooms, catering kitchen, large outdoor patio with six picnic tables and a large grill for rent. (Facility will accommodate 75 to 100 people and is ideal for parties and small family reunions.) Adjacent to this facility are horseshoe and shuffleboard courts. Other park amenities offer fishing, hiking, and a sand volleyball court.
