Hunter Park, headquarters for the Douglasville Parks and Recreation Department, is an 83-acre park located at 8830 Gurley Road, just off Highway 5 in Douglasville. It has a walking track, swimming pool, tennis courts, playground, fishing lake, miniature train and recreation activity center.
The newly renovated athletic complex includes seven ALTA-certified tennis courts, 10 multi-purpose ball fields, a Miracle League ball field and 12 major league batting cages.Renovations also included more than 650 parking spaces and more than 1.5 miles of sidewalks for walking and jogging.
In addition, Hunter Park features a 16,000-square-foot community center and covered playground; a 5-acre lake surrounded by a walking track and several picnic areas. Hunter Park is host to many festivals, sports activities and recreational events.

Hunters Harvest Fall Festival Arts & Crafts Show

On Saturday October 31, 2015, the City of Douglasville Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting their 1st annual Hunters Harvest Fall Festival and Arts and Crafts show at Hunter Park. The event will include a pumpkin pie cook-off, costume competition, kids carnival, and pumpkin carving competition.
