Rock, roll and stroll through Macon's legendary and notorious music history. See the homes, offices, crash pads and favorite haunts of some of southern music's most legendary players and hear stories about the backstage cast of characters who played a crucial role in their catapult to fame. Rock Candy Tours is Macon's music history walking, trolley and step-on tour company. Downtown Macon tours feature up to two hours of historic sites that helped shape rhythm and blues, southern rock, new wave punk and even the music business today. Walking tours cover two miles in Historic Downtown Macon's residential and commercial district and last two and a half hours. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring your camera and water bottle! Tours start at beautiful Washington Park at the corners of College Street and Washington Avenue and finish at the world famous H&H Restaurant where "Mama Louise" still cooks up the soul food made famous by the Allman Brothers and other southern rockers who continue to frequent the Macon music landmark. Trolley tours begin and end at Washington Park, last two hours, include a broader area of the city.
