Rome's historic City Hall was designed by A. Ten Eyck Brown and was constructed in 1914. In addition to municipal offices for the City of Rome, the building has a 1,200 seat auditorium which is home to the Rome Symphony Orchestra, the oldest symphony in the south.
The Capitoline Wolf was a gift from the Roman (Italy) Governor, by order of Italian dictator Benito Mussolini in 1929. The statue is an exact replica of the etruscan art that stands in the Palazzo dei Conservatori on Capitoline Hill in Rome, Italy.
