Heritage Sandy Springs Museum features a permanent exhibit, "Sandy Springs: Land and People," that shares the story of our community from prehistoric times to the present through artifacts maps and interpretive displays.
From April 2014 to April 2015, the changing exhibits gallery will host "The Civil War in Sandy Springs," featuring letters, artifacts, guns and other items from the people that lived through the Union occupation of 1864.

The last Saturdays in June, July and August will be hands-on family days at the Heritage Sandy Springs Museum that will highlight different aspects of the Civil War. Each of the three events explores a different view point of the Civil War, including Confederate reenactors, women in the war and an African-American federal soldier.
