Sandy Springs Historic Site, Home of the Williams-Payne House

Less than a mile outside Atlanta's perimeter highway is the Sandy Springs Historic Site, an inviting enclave of historic buildings, natural springs, and old-fashioned gardens. Its centerpiece is the Williams-Payne House, an 1869 "plain style" farmhouse furnished in period style. Public park open from dawn until dusk daily, admission free. Self-guided tour available. Picnics encouraged! Tours by appointment. Guided tour fees: $5 adults, $3 children and seniors.
