The Sautee Nacoochee Community Association maintains the Sautee Nacoochee Center, a thriving cultural and community center housed in a restored rural schoolhouse. The Center includes a folk pottery museum, an African-American heritage site, a theatre, two gallery/gift shops, an art studio, dance studio, local history museum, commercial kitchen, restored gymnasium, outdoor stage, event facilities, BBQ shed, playground, walking trail, an adaptive garden, a blacksmith demonstration shed, a peace pole, and a bottle tree.

The Sautee Nacoochee Center welcomes all. The 8-acre campus is set in the scenic Nacoochee Valley.

One exhibit within the museum highlights a local connection to the Civil War. In response to Gov. Joseph Brown's request, blacksmith Edwin Williams manufactured pikes on nearby Sautee Creek, a stop-gap weapon consisting of a long wooden staff with a bayonet attached. Stored in warehouses in Augusta and Charleston, many were sent home by Federal occupiers as souvenirs.
