The Senoia Area Historical Society welcomes you take a Driving Tour of Homes. The tour includes 24 homes in the National Register Historic District dating from the antebellum and late 19th century period. Pick up your map at the Coweta County Welcome Center. As you drive along the lovely, quiet streets of Senoia, you will notice many landmarks. Stroll along the Historic District streets and imagine yourself on the sets of "Fried Green Tomatoes," "Pet Cemetery II," "Christmas Memories," "The Fighting Temptations," and TV's "The Walking Dead."

Senoia, named for the wife of William McIntosh and the mother of William McIntosh, Jr., Chief of the Lower Creek Indians, was settled by a land grant about 1830 and officially founded as a town in 1860. The Senoia Historical Society uses an Indian princess as a symbol of its organization.
