A 360-mile scenic driving tour through four states, which includes the North Georgia mountains and through four national forests, which includes the Chattahoochee National Forest. Experience the small mountain towns, scenic beauty, rich history and genuine Southern mountain culture found on the Southern Highroads Trail. Waterfalls, lakes, and rivers are abundant along this loop of southern America.

Outdoor fun and adventure include fishing, horseback riding, tubing, paddling, rafting, golfing, swimming, boating and even hanggliding. History and culture can be found in the small mountain towns as well as hidden in the valley's and hollows. Museums, as well as historical and heritage sites, showcase the people and place of mountain folk in this corner of Appalachia.

Food is an integral part of culture of the area. Not only are there great local places to eat, but there are numerous pick-your-own farms, roadside stands and farmer's markets with fresh, in-season fruits and vegetables.
