The 313-acre State Botanical Garden of Georgia is home to numerous themed display gardens, including the Flower Garden, the International Garden, the Heritage Garden, the Shade Garden, and more. New to the Garden is the 3-acre Flower Garden, showcasing garden flowers and wildflowers and including a woodland walk. The garden is an All-American Selections Garden, a Southeastern Conifer Society Reference Garden, an American Daffodil Society Display Garden, and an Audubon Society Important Bird Area.
Five miles of nature trails extend into the natural areas. The Alice Hand Callaway Visitor Center & Conservatory contains a collection of tropical and semi-tropical plants, which provide gorgeous backdrops for concerts, lectures and art exhibits. The State Botanical Gardens is home to a lovely Day Chapel and serves as the headquarters of the Garden Club of Georgia. A gift shop, gallery, and cafe are located on the grounds, as well.
