Summerville

Home to one of only a few train turntables in the United States, Summerville is truly a step back in time for train and history buffs alike. The Steam into Summerville Railroad Days brings festivities to Dowdy Park downtown, culminating with the Rattling Gourd Arts Festival. Artisans abound in the area, such as Jim Marbutt and his woodcarving creations. Nearby Pennville is home to the creation of folk artist Howard Finster’s Paradise Gardens.
