Join us for the Calvary Mule Day Parade at 11 a.m. As the parade winds through the small town, judges will look for the prettiest, ugliest and most ornery mules. After the parade, visit the Mule Grounds to enjoy barbecue, fried fish and other short-order items while spending time at the bustling flea market. There is cane juice to drink and syrup made on the spot by the mule-driven cane grinder. Corn meal is also ground on site. Gospel groups, cloggers and other entertainers will perform throughout the day.
Visit the Mule Museum, which contains many historical documents, photographs and farm items from the last 300 years. Learn about early Calvary history through pictures and other items in the museum of Dr. Maxwell. It is one of the original buildings moved to the Mule Grounds as a permanent home.
This is a must-attend event for those who want a little history and a whole lot of great food and fun. Contact 229-337-MULE for more information.
