The Milstead 104 "Dinky" Steam Locomotive

The Dinky is a 1905 Rogers steam locomotive that hauled cotton bales from the main line to the textile mill on the Yellow River. It is permanently located across the tracks from the Conyers Depot. The locomotive once ran rail service between Conyers to the neighboring mill town of Milstead along 3.5 miles of rail. The engine is one of three left in the world.

On the first Tuesday of each month, the Conyers-Rockdale Council for the Arts invite local artists to our 83 seat black box theatre for a night of music, drinks, and friends. General admission is $6 and the price for admission and registration for performing artists is $5. Beer, wine, soda, and snacks will be available. The Paula Vaughn Black Box Theater is located in historic downtown Conyers - Olde Town Conyers with many restaurants open in the district.

Come enjoy riding a miniature railroad. Trains will begin operation at 1 p.m. Rides will conclude with the last train at 4:30 p.m. The cost to ride a train is $2 per person. Run days may be canceled for inclement weather. Please check the website for last minute changes.

The Drifters…one of Rock & Roll's founding vocal groups is once again touring the U.S. under the auspices of their original management team.
