Blackhawk Fly Fishing

9400 Hwy 197 N.
Clarkesville, GA 30523

Owners Abby and John Jackson opened Blackhawk in 1996 with two miles of trophy trout water.   The Soque River begins in the Blue Ridge Mountains and winds through Clarkesville, Georgia.  The fishing guides at Blackhawk make even fly-fishing novices feel very welcomed here.  The restored farmhouse that was built in the 1860's is rustic and hasan outdoor fire pit so after a long day of fishing you can sit around the fire and the fish keep getting bigger.  Blackhawk prides itself in repeat clientele and our mission is to give anglers great waters to fish on and to promote the sport of flyfishing  to our younger generation. Trophywaters of our caliber and quality is a great location for experienced anglers to advance and novices to learn.  Blackhawk is open year-round except during July and August due to the hot temperatures. The flyfishing has seasonal peaks during the Spring and Fall and some of the best dry flyfishing occurs in May, June, and September.
