The idea of The Station Xchange started with the notion to create a downtown center for Richmond Hill. The creation of this sort of pedestrian friendly downtown place that would possess its own spirit, personality and charm was the vision of Bill Trout. He aspired to create a place where generations could come and embrace these traits and distinctiveness of the place he named The Station Xchange. Trout began with a desire to instill a true community spirit and put together a team of industry professionals that were capable of handling such a challenge.

When Trout asked Savannah architects Dawson Wissmach and Charleston site planners Designworks to help him plan a community where they could combine the traditions of what he saw his community evolving with, it was clear that he had chosen the right people for The Station Xchange design team. After conducting their research and crafting their shared team vision, the team revived the rich architectural heritage of the Southern Railway Lines with the building and site designs. The attention that has been paid to the design detail is demonstrated throughout the development.

The Station Xchange's general contractor has the vision and capability to create this innovative community that is nestled beside the railroad tracks in the heart of Savannah's favorite suburb. The construction of this development promises to create that rare place that combines the spirit of community with the pleasures of taking part in the exclusivity of an urban destination where people can live, work, shop, and dine.
