Exotic and beautiful, Wild Burmese Chickens roam the commercial and residential streets of Historic Fitzgerald. Residents have a love/hate relationship with these birds, with some feeding them seed and others chasing them out of their yards with a broom and a few choice words. A celebration for the colorful birds is held annually the third weekend of March.
