The purpose of the Jackson County Arts Council (JCAC) is to promote and support creative and cultural activities within Jackson county and the surrounding areas. The council is dedicated to uniting artists and encouraging education in the arts in our community.

JCAC members have partnered with several different community organizations to exhibit and showcase art by local artists and hold free art activities. In addition, JCAC has staged the highly successful, countywide, student art show, "Celebrate the Arts" in 2013 and 2014. The first annual "Dancing with the Stars – Jackson County Style!" event raised over $10,000 which was shared with area nonprofit organizations. The group's logo expresses a heartfelt desire to promote, encourage and support music, dance, drama and visual arts in Jackson County.

The JCAC office does not have regular hours. Please see the events section for upcoming meetings and events.
