The geneological and historic room here has one of the most outstanding reference collections of its type in the South, with more than 23,000 volumes and over 17,000 microforms. Last year, over 13,000 researchers came from 38 states and five foreign countries to use the facility. Open Mon-Thurs 9-9; Fri-Sat 9-6; Sun 1:30- 5:30.
