The proprietor, Charles Tillman, and his family have restored and occupy the original home and have opened Watermelon Creek Vineyard as a destination venue and full service winery. The 15-acre site includes The Barn Yard, The Pond, The Mill House, The Vineyard, Watermelon Creek nature area, and the Winery Complex. A full production winery specializing in the muscadine grape is now open to the public with its Ribbon Cutting on May 24, 2012 .
The first release of wines comprises the Heritage Series, and complimentary tastings are offered in the Tasting room/Gift Shop. Future plans include offering various blends and varietals. Private meeting facilities and catering is available for groups.
