Adel Daylily Festival

Georgia's Official City of Daylilies, Adel, welcomes you to the 7th Annual Adel Daylily Festival May 17-18, 2013. More than 90 arts and crafts vendors will be selling unique handcrafted items from all over the region, and food vendors will be serving up favorite festival foods from turkey legs to funnel cakes. The Adel Daylily Bounce 'N' Slide area for kids will include an obstacle course and a 22-foot-high, side-by-side slide. 

Festivities begin May 11, with the crowning of Miss Adelily at 7 p.m. at the Carolyn Harris Performing Arts Center. The festival starts on historic Burwell Avenue in downtown Adel Friday, May 17 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. with music, entertainment, food and shopping. The Daylily City 5K Run and 1K Fun Run/Walk will be Saturday at 8 a.m.

See the beautiful daylilies that give the festival its name on display at the Cook Historical Society Daylily Show and Sale May 18 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Music, entertainment and vendors will be downtown Saturday until 4 p.m.
