McGladrey Classic

Saint Simons Island is home to the newest PGA TOUR Fall Series tournament, The McGladrey Classic. Sea Island resident and PGA pro Davis Love III will host the event that promises to capture all that is special about this area – the graciousness of the residents; the rich culture, history and traditions of the island; and the extraordinary hospitality provided to friends and guests.

Gates open to the public Wednesday Oct. 17 at 7 a.m. All youth are admitted free on Wednesday, and Gary Allan will perform in concert at 7:30 p.m.

Round 1 of play begins Thursday Oct. 18. Gates open at 7 a.m. for Military Appreciation Day.

Round 2 will be Friday Oct. 19, and an oyster roast and live music will begin at 6 p.m.

Saturday Oct. 20 will see Round 3 of play, and attendees are encouraged to wear their college colors for Game Day. A tailgate and live music will begin at 5 p.m.

Gates open Sunday Oct. 21 at 8 a.m. for the final round, and the trophy presentation will take place on the 18th green immediately following play.
