Hometown Warrenton, Inc. presents two weeks of tennis, with a Red, White & Blue start on July 6th. A parade kicks off at 10:00 a.m. in downtown Warrenton. Everyone is invited to participate in the parade by decorating cars, golf carts, bicycles, scooters, strollers, even animals. We will award the winner of the best decorated in the parade. It is followed by the Pie Bake-Off in City Park. While the judges are eating, the rest of us can enjoy watermelon slices under the shade trees. The kids will take to the tennis courts after the Blue Ribbons are given out for the bake-off and the Red Melons are eaten up. The Tennis Tourney will begin that evening with an exhibition match of the men's and women's 2012 winners. Watch out for those White Lines! The 3rd Annual Jr. Tennis Camp, for kids 6 and up, will start on Monday, July 8th, 9:00-11:00 a.m. and run through July 12th. A second session may be added, if necessary. The Tennis Tourney will finish up on Saturday, July 20th. All matches are played after 7:00 p.m., unless weather delay.
