Germany Creek Wildlife Management Area (WMA) encompasses 1,200 acres of land leased from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (COE). The WMA consists of mixed pine hardwood forest and hardwood drains. Most of the mature loblolly pine stands were harvested in 2013 and replanted in 2015, creating several hundred acres of early successional habitat. The main hunting opportunities are: deer, squirrel, turkey, raccoon, and waterfowl. The WMA lies on Germany Creek and is accessible only by boat. The nearest launch is Raysville Bridge on GA Hwy. 43 approximately 12 miles north of Thomson.
