Most of the mature loblolly pine stands were harvested in 2013 and replanted in 2015, creating several hundred acres of early successional habitat. The main hunting opportunities are: deer, squirrel, turkey, raccoon, and waterfowl. The WMA lies on Germany Creek and is accessible only by boat. The nearest launch is Raysville Bridge on GA Hwy. 43 approximately 12 miles north of Thomson.
