The Broadway drama "Twelve Angry Jurors" depicts a jury forced to consider the homicide trial of a young man who has been accused of patricide. A "guilty" verdict will result in the death penalty; the decision must be unanimous. Several jurors have private discriminations against the witness: race, background and troubled relationships. One juror has sown seeds of reasonable doubt. This gripping drama discusses the value of every human life -- should he be found "guilty" or "not guilty"?
This is produced by the Averitt STARS Community Theater, comprised of local volunteers who wish to broaden and advance the arts in Bulloch County. They strive to present high-quality performing arts events and cultivate public understanding of the arts.
