Woodlands Garden is dedicated to preserving a woodland garden as an urban sanctuary to educate and engage the community in the natural world. We have 8 acres of natural Georgia Piedmont forest thriving in the City of Decatur, just six miles east of Atlanta.

Woodlands is open during daylight hours seven days a week. You may tour Woodland Garden on your own, or arrange a tour with a staff person or volunteer. An E-tour can be found here. This educational 'Story Map' features notable features of Woodlands. With the help of GA Tech students, this electronic resource was created and can be accessed before, during, or after your garden visit.

To arrange a guided tour, contact the Director at Please, no dogs and no smoking anywhere on the property.

Limited parking available, carpooling encouraged. Larger groups welcome, but reservations required.
