The Currahee Military Reunion Weekend honors the men of Camp Toccoa, shows appreciation for the sacrifices they made, and celebrates their commitment to America. In 1942, the United States government acquired a mountain and the surrounding land in Toccoa, Ga., as a training facility for WWII Paratroopers.
Meet paratroopers, visit Currahee Military Museum, walk through the stable, run up Currahee Mountain and enjoy many activities, displays and a parade.
Friday, September 30: Community BBQ, Book Signing and Hangar Dance
Saturday, October 1: Currahee Challenge Mountain Run/Walk, Parade, Parachute Jump Team, Huey & Cobra Helicopter Rides, Banquet & Auction and a 1940's Radio Show
Sunday, October 2: Remembrance Service at the Memorial
